Branding Weeks 13-14

In weeks 13 and 14, our group made final editing tweaks to our film, and finally finished it completely. Andrew was able to add in some music for the scene transitions, and made a great custom DVD menu with the help of Adobe Premiere Pro. Now that our group has the hardest part out of the way, we are brainstorming our production materials. Matt and Kaice are working on posters and fliers using the [branding] eye logo customized from blue and orange to the Purdue black and gold color scheme, and I am in the process of getting a design put together for Cafe Press memorabilia.

Not at the finishline yet

Well I have been working on editing the documentary every
chance I get since it was critiqued by the class last week. There is still much
to do like add subtitles, titles for interviewees, make a DVD menu, add music,
and add final credits. But it looks like I am out of time so hopefully Cat will
give CHH an extension.

This is What's goin' Down in Team iDebaters

We are planning to make our trip to the Apple store in Indianapolis this thursday unless we decide upon something else given the information I recieved today from Apple. Their corporate policy states that there is no filming/photography allowed in the store, so that rules out any footage inside the store. I asked if we could interview anyone at the store and I am still pending an answer on that. If they say no to that, then I see little reason to go all the way to Indy to film. There is an alternative that Mike discovered.

Branding Week 12

well, we have all of our footage ready to go, and now it is just a matter of editing. we have cut some footage already and begun to include our stock footage of purdue commercials as well as some photography to match and help add interest to our spoken material. i think we have a pretty good handle on our direction and the film is beginning to have a good solid look and feel to it. from here on out it will simply be a matter of editing and tweaking, and we are beginning to brainstorm some ideas for our promotional materials.

Update! Idebaters - week nine

Well, we have footage captured, so thats a good thing, and I imagine it has already been posted. The exact storyboard for the film is still in the works; we have a general sense for the order in which things are going to go, but it hasn't all been put to paper yet. A little more communication and debating and the storyboard will be complete. Things still in the works include a trip to the Apple Store in Indy as well as the mac user group on campus which will come up after spring break. I have tried to contact the Apple store by email, but a response has not been made.

[branding] Treatment and Storyboard

Below is the treatment that Kaice put together and attached is Andrew's storyboard.

Treatment

Purpose

The overall goal of this film is to explore the topic of Purdue as a brand.  We will explore marketing and branding techniques that Purdue uses locally and abroad.  To do this, we will conduct interviews with student, faculty and administration members who are associated with marketing Purdue.

Net Neutrality Treatment and Storyboards

Attached is both the documentary treatment and the storyboards. Both are a little rough since we don't have all our footage yet so the placement of everything is up in the air still.

Film Summary/Storyboards

Here is a film summary, along with the storyboards for our film.  I hope they're not too messy.  Also, these are very subject to change as we discover exactly what we have to work with.

CHH Treatment

Our treatment is attached.
