Pooblicity

Some of the ideas we had for promoting our movie were:

Handing out virgin drink samples in our logo - red solo cup with the movie title written on - sort of a happy hour movie party

Bottle Openers w/movie logo

Wearing shirts w/movie logo

Maybe some others that we want to keep secret.

it's time to publicize!!!!

so i came up with two t-shirt designs, a button design and a flyer, the flyer and the first shirt are missing a few things, a slogan, the date of the debut, and the title of the documentary. hope you like them!

Hold drive

ok so all you have to do to acess your hold drive is type \\hold.ics.purdue.edu\username into run and volia!

Publicity Ideas

Here are my ideas for publicity/promotional materials:

Stickers - either small stickers or maybe bumper stickers with our logo and (if it's a bumper sticker) the name of the documentary, possibly info about the movie

Mug - I think it's fitting that we just saw an apple mug in the iDebater's documentary, because we took a lot of our design inspiration from them. I think that a mug with our logo on it would be very eye-catching.

mashup

My mashup is done, and I think it does a decent job of showing the horrors of war.  I used Orson Wells' radio broadcast of "War of the Worlds" as a basis for my mashup.  It was first aired in 1938 and it created a national panic because people thought it was actually real.  I started with "War of the Worlds" to provide the setting, and then progressed through individual reactions to war, national views, and I ended it with more of a propaganda approach.

Club Happy Hour

Last night Keith and I met up and worked on the movie a bit. We did some editing, came up with some new ideas that may or may not happen since it's a little late for that, but keith stayed up until 2 this morning working on the draft. The movie's almost completed, just a few more scenes to add and a few details and extras to work out. It's going good.

Mash Me Up, Buttercup... Don't Shoot!!

So here's my video mashup thing. After wrestling with some video editing software I conceded and used Movie Maker. Not the best but I think its alright. Enjoy.

Morning Of MLK

Here is the link to my audio mashup:  http://www.youtube.com/v/QZKmskpcunM

I also have the cd to present as my final copy.  In the video, I tried to capture as many images as I could pretaining to Racism, which is hard to find on the iNet.  I hope that this gets my message across.

If given more time, I would have really knocked out this assignment, but due to many projects being assigned to me, this is the best I could do (with time constraints).  I need sleep!!

Are we there yet? - Team CaB Project Log

Week - I don't know anymore, but its down to the final stages of this documentary.  After filling my 80gb iPod and a 100gb harddrive of nothing but footage, I feel that we can stop shooting now.  HOWEVER, we still have to shoot the intro and other cut scenes in order for everything to run smoothly.  We worked out most of the sketching already, but the most time is capturing the videos.  Then putting them into order while slicing them to where we want them.  Note to self:  Bring a pillow to the screening, cause this document is long...

Final Mashup -- White Rabbit

I agree with Justin on this one, not my best showing, but here we go.
